I noticed the dates on the photos were in the mid seventies and I can't tell if the commentary was written at that time or added later. Those photos were taken before the Talaban.....one has to wonder how much the country has deteriorated (in all respects) since the pictures were taken. If the commentary was written at the time the photos were taken, I would be inclined to cut a little slack to the writer. Possibly not PCism but rather a photojournalist deferring comment on the customs of the populace with an eye to returning to shoot photos again. Thanks for posting the pics..... quite beautiful.
