Israel Shahak, an Israeli scholar, has given us a deep insight into the fanatical fundamentalist elements within the Israeli government and society. The title of his book is: JEWISH HISTORY, JEWISH RELIGION. You can order his book from amazon.com. Another great book on fundamentalist and radical Judaism in Israel was written by Shahak and the AMerican/Jewish scholar Mezvinsky. The tile: JEEWISH FUNDAMENTALISM IN ISRAEL. You can buy it from amazon.com or bn.com. The best book written in 2000 about the fundamental teachings of modern Orthodox Judasim is Michael Hoffman's JUDAISM'S STRANGE GODS. This book is also available from amazon.com and bn.com. Hoffman's book tears the vail off of the mysterious teachings of the Talmud, the Toledoth Yeshu and the Kabbalah. I think anyone who reads these book will understand why Israel should be a prime suspect in the present war on terrorism.
