Rather that pawing through curling yellowing press releases looking for errors, why not look at some life test data. If the long ping times are due to the hodge podge kludge to GSM to support packet data, (see siliconinvestor.com
Then there is a real problem with GPRS. What is that term? Eurosurfers? That's it, Eurosurfers will surf the information freeway using the equivalent of a golf cart on the freeway system in Los Angles. Not exactly the way to travel.

If some one could post the ping times for GSM, GPRS, CDMA and HDR, (not all the same person, of course) it would be useful data. May even be worth reading some of the cryptic garbled error ridden posts again for a brief moment if some this data were given.

Will look at the book but doubt that it contains much that I do not already have.
