Indeed. I often look out for other swimmers because the vast majority just don't understand the power of what it is they are playing with and thereby don't accurately appraise their own ability to deal with that environment. Last month after a swim I went to the lifeguard on duty to let them know about the side and rip currents I had found. It turns out later that just 1/2 mile up the shore a young Hispanic man disappeared into the surf ona BoogeyBoard only to be found 1 mile from where he disappeared. Sad, the guy went out thinking floatation was all he needed. He could not swim.
