Seriously, Jan: The market goes up and down. I don't see the need to cheer it on in one direction or the other. Those who are confident that they're right about the future direction of the market -- whatever that direction is -- are proven wrong about 50% of the time, it seems to me. At this time, I can't see the sense of wishing the market down, particularly since terrorists are measuring their success in part by market declines. In any case, wishful TA won't accomplish anything. The market usually defies analysis based on hope or certainty. Today, the market is moving down in part because of new scares on the terrorist front. All in all, a sad day.
