Thanks. My accountant had used the method of attaching the E*Trade printout to Schedule D one year, but in later years she listed all the trades, which is why I had wondered about it. However, I was not trading as much in the years where she listed all the trades, so maybe that was the reason. I'll probably ask her about it when tax time comes around.
