O/T I'll be in the neighborhood of the APEC meeting this week in Shanghai. I saw security being put together last weekend, and I have to say that if you didn't know better, you'd think this was an active war zone. I have never seen anything like it. It is beyond belief (although probably comparable to high level Israeli security). No Chinese air carrier will give a ticket to anyone from the Middle East, and Visas have been restricted since August to people from the same. No visas have been issued to people from 20 countries over the last 6-weeks due to security concerns for the meetings.
