let me refer you to your(I think) earlier point about p4 running at 4GHz. So what exactly is real?
Is MIPs a better measure? It is semi-real. Would intel agree to quote MIPs along with their GHz advantage?

At least the clock speed is real. You can't fake that. But you can easily fake a "quantispeed" number.

Please, come back when you believe you have evidence that the "quantispeed" has been "faked". In the meantime, you and John are having a (fake) heart attack about something hypothetical.
