Fast Eddy,

You wrote, "I thought that we would hit what few targets we had and then, having made a point, begin to act in more subtle ways that addressed the activities we had publicly identified."

Sorry, pal, that's just the kind of "failed language" we've tried with the Achille Lauro, Lockerbie, Lebanon, African Embassies, USS Cole, and where are we? Anthrax in the Congressional halls, 7 month old babies are viable targets. The only time we have succeeded against a terrorist state in the last 30 years was Reagan bombing Ghaddafi's palaces in Tripoli.

You're still fighting Vietnam and all its ghosts. This isn't Vietnam. It's time to awaken from the national nightmare and face the grim day before it's too late.

Ed, this woman's comment really has me shaking my head....

>> 'We don't win by killing other people.' <<

How else do you win a war if you don't kill a bunch of people?

Maybe the Muslims are right, maybe women shouldn't be allowed to think.

Too many people are thinking from a perspective of fear, too much emotion. It's time to carry a big stick. We should think from a position of power. Power doesn't mean anything if you don't display it every now and then. This isn't a fight we started, but it damn sure is one that needs to be finished. If you make the commitment to fight, and we did, then fight!

I bet the other Bush wishes he'd finished the job.
