None of the market share studies in the application server market are very good at defining their terms of reference. In this way they are all of limited value.

Overall, my impression is that BEA won round 1 of this game and as such has some small advantage going into round 2 - beyond the app server.

After round 1, HP you are the weakest link. Goodbye.
