you are forgetting one little detail and that is that AMD's GHz are not GHz but rather model numbers. It is just as real as p"4" vs p"III". Is p"4" is a misleading term since it is not based on GHz? I would say no but then again I thought that athlon xp "1800+" is not misleading either. And I still don't know what happened to Microsoft's windows 99 through 1999.
Good or bad amd's efforts are not a conspiracy but rather a marketing strategy.
