My understanding of why Saddam was not scrubbed was that the mandate of our coalition did not support it. Once we met our original limited goals we left the festering sore there to revive himself.

Now instead of gassing our soldiers he is helping to attack our civilians.

My vote is that when we have sufficient cause to destroy Saddam we do so. But I am not interested much in soldiers being gassed again, so whatever it takes to level every single potential source of terror in the country gets my vote.

We have 20 years of getting pissed on by these bastards and I suspect we will need to continue our relentless efforts to destroy them for many years until the pain is to high for them to continue.

Either that or we get ready to live in caves, because if they win our civilization is over.
