Yes, I am familiar with linear programming and game theory.

But there are a few equations I have never seen. Maybe you can enlighten my ignorance.

How many bombs does it take to get a government overthrown?
How many dead bodies must be created before that government agrees to turn one of its most important citizens over to a foreign power?
I await your answers.

And that brings up another point: The US initially asked the Taliban to turn over bin Laden and his gang and shut down the terrorist training camps. They contemptuously refused.
Do you understand that had they agreed no bombs would be falling and we would not be having this discussion?
They did have the opportunity to entirely avoid this problem.
