Hopkins Respond to of 436258 Thanx Haim; Golda Meyer that was the name; my memory is getting as old as I am, she was wiser than many thought. And her "Peace won't come until they love their children more than they hate us" was to the point. ----------------- The scope and complexity that I've encountered with Muslems is limited but it was enough to exptrapolate from and conclude that not even an expert could digest the full scope of it all. Also I'm sure it's beyond even the ablity of their own experts, however taht presents a delimia that no expert seems humble enough to admit. If any meaningful and lasting changes are to be made they are going to have to be created by the muslems themself. How they can tolaorate even an offshoot of their brothers using their own children as human bombs speaks volumes of how Islam fails the basic test of being a crediable Religion in the sence of improving the character of it's own members. My study of Malcom X caused me to give Islam more credit than it deserved, while I saw a transformation in him it seems now to be an exception to the general rule, In 1964 he made a pilgrimage to Islam's holy city, Mecca, and adopted the name El-Hajj Malik El Shabazz. He then also adopted views that were not popular with other black muslims , including the idea that not all whites were evil. As a result of Malcolm's new views, he became the victim of death threats. On February 14, 1965, his home was firebombed; his wife and children escaped unharmed. A week later, on the 21st, Malcolm was shot and killed at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem. Three of the men arrested were identified as members of the Nation of Islam. There was an obvious conpsircy that went beyound the three arrested however the Nation of Islam and as no other American Islam movement appears to have done diddley crap to expose the conspiricy behind his assination. While it's given there are some good muslims the fact that as a whole they continue to go on knowing there was a conspircy but live in denial of it; causeses me to conclude that as a Religion they are morally backrupt. Out side of America it also appears that if any Muslim of position takes up the cause of peace he winds up being assasated by his brother muslims, that happens over and over and creates a delima of the sort taht renders trying to live in peace with them is nothing short of commiting suiside by proxy.
