The last time I looked at it, my impression was that IBM was taking on debt to buy in shares, thereby boosting the EPS despite stagnant revenues, but weakening the balance sheet.

But that's JMHO. Do your own due diligence and form your own conclusions.

I'm sure Addi's real concern was the integrity of Reg FD and not his investment in IBM, so I was just trying to help him in that noble endeavor. <g>
