That's a little akin to saying the French won World War I-- maybe in a technical sense it's true, but from the perspective of a victory or prosperity, wars of attrition are bad for all parties concerned. However, you're right that AMD's current position of having to sell equivalent-MHz processors at 1/2 to 1/3 of Intel's prices is untenable and rather embarrassing for the company.
