<The PCS Group recorded its thirteenth consecutive industry-leading quarter of customer growth, adding over 1.2 million direct customers and 384,000 affiliate customers. The net gain in subscribers marked the largest increase for any quarter in Sprint PCS' five-year history and the single largest quarterly net total for a carrier in the history of the U.S. wireless industry >

So, there you have it folks. Just as in Korea in 1998 in the great Asian contagion, when everyone thought Korea had fallen off the map and QUALCOMM was doomed, but instead, CDMA sales roared ahead as Koreans canceled overseas trips, stayed home, bought a CDMA phone and got back to work, the same thing is happening during the Great Global Bubble Burst of 2001, everyone is canceling their flights, new SUV purchases, staying home, buying a CDMA phone and getting back to work.

CDMA phones are cheap. Communications are next in line to buy after food, rent, booze and baccy. Everything else goes on hold.

Told you so,
