They've never denied it...

Given that AMD reports actual numbers (so we know they aren't going down) and that total systems sold are down significantly from last year, it seems reasonable to conclude that Intel is playing games with their numbers.

And Intel hasn't even hinted that they exclude X-Box PIIIs from sales. If they did exclude X-Box units from sales, they would probably make that clear.

I'm not sure it's all that important, a sale is a sale.

But in terms of PC market share, Intel hasn't been stopping AMD, and they've been trying very, very, hard to fool the public into thinking otherwise.
