I can't really say for sure. One thing I do see is that I haven't seen much finger pointing by the Republicans during this. I have heard almost very little it's CLinton's fault coming out of the Bush camp. Yes the World Net daily's are pointing out that some of the PC nonsense made our defense weak but mostly what I see now is the reality that we are in a dangerous situation and we need to get it handled as a team. When the country gets attacked things change.
Right now politicians will change. As far as I am concerned the past counts for little. Any Democrat is my hero if they do and say the right thing and any Republican is my target of scorn if they do the wrong. Most Conservatives were all over Falwell when he made his idiotic remarks. Especially Limbaugh ripped into him. Remember those fanatics didn't bomb Democrats and Republicans, liberals or conservatives. They bombed all of us.
By the way I liked Bill CLinton when I first heard him talk. He earned my dislike. To me he was the Elmer Gantry of the left a jive talking phoney.

I'll chip in my 2 cents too though I was not asked. I can say unequivocally, I'd be supporting him. I don't see how you could not. 5,000 Americans dead and an enemy that will be happy to kill in the millions. Entire nations, led by religious nut cases who consider it honorable to kill anyone not of their kind. An enemy that would nuke/poison our entire population if only they could.

What's the upside for me if Clinton fails? Zero, zip, nada.

But of course we'll never know as this is an answer to a hypothetical. What we do know is how other have behaved. Our current situation is not in the hypothetical. Some have put aside partisan politics for the sake of solidarity, others have carped at the President incessantly like chihuahua's barking for a buscuit.

Frankly, I'm far more concerned about the implications of the murder of Zeevi than who likes Bush.

The impeachment proceedings would have been suspended, perhaps even dropped...

And Bill would have been dancing a jig in the oval office - celebrating the deaths of 5000 Americans.

And we would have WARREN CHRISTOPHER, WILLIAM COHEN, AL GORE, and BILL CLINTON handling this crisis....

Imagine this and shudder.

Thank God they are gone.

What would have happened had the hijacked jets crashed into the World Trade Center in early '98 instead of 9-11-01? What would have happened had the terrorist attacks occurred the exact moment when GOP Reps. Henry Hyde and Steve Chabot marched from the House to the Senate to present the papers of impeachment?

Hell, Mr. bill would have welcomed it! He said as much himself.
