How would the people of Canada react to a serious proposal that the US and Canada merge into one country? They would not like it one bit. I would go into more detail but that is a topic for a whole new thread. All the Americans would have to learn to read highway signs in French ... I don't think you'd like that either. Awhile ago I was travelling with an American friend in Quebec ... he was driving and he drove through a stop sign. I said "hey you drove through a stop sign". He said "Oh is that what that sign says ... if they want me to stop they should have the sign in English." I said "Yeah try explaining that to a cop!" Lola:)
