>>>Most systems based on indicators don't even beat buying and holding in system tests.<<<

Brook, this is the damn thing that kept many folks, including myself in WAY too long...watching as portfolios shrunk and shrunk and shrunk. Damn hard business we are in...trying to make money in stocks. The problem with the long term by and hold thing is that it works when things are fine but is a complete disaster when they ain't.

Sure one can hold GE or MRK or some such thing for 10 to 20 years and look like a brilliant investor, but who the hell is really willing to do that kind of thing...or could do it? That is the thing that has always troubled me with the LTBH thing. If we don't need the money and cash out at some point, it will be long after many of us are 6 feet under before the LTBH religion pays off.

Do you think St. Peter likes Buffet or Don Sew more?

Anyway, enjoy the education I am getting here. Just damn hard for me, anyway, to make some damn money these days. Between Anthrax and WWIII...

Hey, if anyone has a sure thing today, let me know!!! ;)

The LT CI's have been muddling along in the midrange. This is a market defined by uncertainty.

You got that right.
