In case anyone forgets, tomorrow is the anniversary of 1987 market crash. With the negative reversal we have heading into this day, I really have no idea what kind of reaction people will have. Needless to say the market is in profit taking mode and sometimes things can feed on itself. A retest of the Septemeber lows is likely but we don't know when. I am going to get some out of money cheapies here for a play. open QQQ Oct 31, 30 puts.

Harry:

I didn't think mcdt had the edge to core san solution. when i think of mcdt i think of the director switch which is why i like qlgc as a better stock / company in the space. not saying the ancr switch has done better (so far it hasn't) but just with ancr intergrated into qlgc, qlgc provides a more one shop solution than its competitors. I still favor emlx, qlgc and brcd as the 3 to own / trade. I sold my positions (excluding zoox, which due to absolute $$ cost is too low to worry about, unless it breaks 85 cents), 1/2 only since emc comments spooked ME.

AT this point Zeev Hed feels the market can go up for two or so more weeks so in all likelyhood I'll sell between now and then and then come back after the retest.

Will listen to emlx call this weekend (and zoox then qlgc next week). From the #'s they hit low end of guidance from last quarter but notice how they've started cost cuts to position themselves.

Mattie - on zoox my only concern is the HWP/CPQ merger. HWP is BRCD and that may displace the CPQ/ZOOX OEM agreemnt from this summer. On the flip side Zoox would make a nice add to jnic or emlx to round out product offering. I read they indicated this qtr as flat. On the last cc they indicated this qtr as 40% sequential growth (shows how one can't trust managements guidance, they are clueless too but at least zoox mgmt is not selling shares)
