Andreas,

AMD shows of Athlon XP 2000+ on MPF...

According to Techannel it runs at 1.7 GHz and will be available at the beginning of the first quarter of next year.

Would it be 1.66 or 1.73 GHz?

Joe

Andreas, Re: "AMD shows of Athlon XP 2000+ on MPF"

I don't know what they are talking about. AMD only had a model 1800+ at MPF. It was running Lightwave 3D as a demo.

They also had a 1.1GHz Athlon 4 with a PowerNow demo running on it. Voltage switches from 1.2V to 1.4V as the application is running. All is at full speed with no breaks in application performance. The AMD reps had no idea how much battery savings it would amount to, though.
