Ralfph rambles Its been awhile since a number of us tagged the same stock. I find it interesting when I get on one and a number of other posters are in early and we go for a ride. What I find interesting is the styles and takes with what is going on. What is fun as well is who bails and when and where. Very often each person take makes perfect sense but the stock just keeps doing its own little game despite all rational reasoning. ITE - I am still wearing some of the darn thing. I bought on what I thought was good TA and bottom levels that appeared to have formed. I was wrong each time. As long as they preserve the cash ITE will be safe enough and I am not sweating over it yet. But if the cash gets spent then I will be SOL. The only reason I flagged her yesterday was because of the obsurd action. Someone walked the bid up a penny at the time from 18 to 20.5 and moved it half a cent once or twice as well .Where they desperate for the stock ? Where they running a box ? I do not have a clue . But every time I have placed a sell order at 21.5 it seems to cut the legs off of any run. So yesterday I called their bluff and blew off 4000 shares at 20 cents and made a whole 40 bucks. This morning there was a bunch offerred at 21.5 and it seems to have cut the legs out of her again. So maybe I will buy back my old position. but a bit lower than my old entry point . Maybe not. I am searching for a nice quiet swing trader that most would not bother with. GNO- I think this one is being played with. But on a more subtle long term level. People - You know what would be worth doing ? Flag a few of the movers and shakers who start new exploration companies in the oil and gas sector after their old high flying companies have been bought out. I pulled this stunt with Bonus after JK flagged her back in 96 or so and almost ended up pulling a twenty bagger on WT but got tired of the wait and exited 1 month before it finaly started to move. (guess who did not jump back on ) TEK.b - I think its about to take a fall. The Alcan news could cut the legs off of a few resource stocks in the short term. TRUCKS - I said nothing on the threads about it but now that it is public bringing it up should not start anything new. I think the next attack will involve fuel trucks. Could be as simple as dumping a load of fuel down a sewer system. The ignition of which could blow the road above it wide open or it could go off as a simple fart. Or some nutcase will use a propane truck as his ticket to heaven. GOD- Speaking of heaven- If God really did exist why on earth would he not have made the rules simple? If you are nice ,do your best , respect all living thingsyou live a long time. If you are bad or evil you die . Anybody who lasts a thousand years earne a bus ticket to heaven. What could be simpler than that ? Surely an all knowing God could have come up with a simple bug that ate only evil people. But instead we got hell and jihads and a whole bunch of weird rules to get a ticket to heaven. Most of the rules are too obsurd ever to have come from a rational mind. Its all about control,fear and death. Most of the major religions make about as much sense asthe minor ones.Drrnking poison coolaid or killing yourself because a comet is coming by and you want your soul to go for a ride sounds weird. But if enough churches pound out these rules they would become just as valid as the rest. I have yet to run across any religion that carries the message of what a rational god would dictate. Most appear to have been created by a commitee interested in their own well being. Radio controled air craft _ The closest I have come is a freind of mine has a glider that he launches with a 200 ft elastic band. Its pretty cool. I used to build the basil wood ones with the elastic band driven proppeller. More often than not the things would get lost when they flew farther than I could run and keep them in site. I would spend a month building it and 10 minutes flying it. After the 4th or 5th time I found my interest starting to wain. Now thats a ramble if I ever wrote one. <ggg> Ralfph
