Don Lloyd had asked me what category differentiates the marginal worker from the average worker. The distinction resides in the difference in the degree to which the wealth effect has had in a given area or industry. The greater that a given area or industry has wealth, the greater will be the ability for a monopoly group to accede to the class of the marginal worker. The marginal workers sue for and get the 5.5% raise while the average worker must settle for the 3% raise. This causes class struggle with the result that the average workers are forced over time to demand the 5.5% raise. By then the marginal workers are demanding 7%. They believe they're worth more than the average worker. FED interference under the justification of saving the economy fuels this struggle.
