To: Poet who wrote (3357 ) 10/18/2001 2:34:41 PM From: elpolvo Respond to of 51702 poet-does the size and character of the attacks on the WTC and Pentagon on September 11th factor in at all? let me use the storm analogy again... does the size and strength of a hurricane factor in? yes. in two ways: 1) it causes more death, more grief, and requires greater healing, relief and clean-up efforts from more sources. 2) it more strongly motivates future efforts to better forecast new storms, civil preparedness and defensive procedures.does the fact that bin Laden and his followers state that every American is a justifiable target merely because of the country we live in, factor in at all? i'm sure it increases the anger and animosity of many. i see it as an attempt by a desperate criminal to elevate his cause and martyr status by unjustly exaggerating the size and demon-ization of his foe. it is good evidence and justification for increasing the counts of conspiracy to commit murder against him.Do you (or anyone else here) feel that the chances for the development of a global community have now been rendered impossible in our lifetimes? no. we ARE now and have ALWAYS BEEN a global community. our admission and acceptance of that fact, and the benefits that ensue from universal practice is constantly evolving. there is no END to evolution... EVER. we'll never stop growing, so realize, because of that, that we'll never be as evolved as we could be or will be in the future. and po? be patient. It's a pleasure to read the real elp. as strange, contradictory, and paradoxical as this may seem to you, you've ALWAYS read the REAL elp. Sometimes we know, sometimes we don't Sometimes we give, sometimes we won't Sometimes we're strong, sometimes we're wrong Sometimes we cry Sometimes it's bad when the going gets tough When we look in the mirror and we want to give up Sometimes we don't even think we'll try Sometimes we cry Well we're gonna have to sit down and think it right through If we're only human what more can we do The only thing to do is eat humble pie Sometimes we cry -Van Morrison -el polvo (REALLY)
