First, we experience our own moral judgments as being "right", and there are a myriad of individuals in society who agree with us most of the time. We generally view those people as "moral", and the other as immoral, or, at least, immature in judgment

And vice versa for those whom you have indicated as "disagreeing" with you, LOL! You can't both be absolutely right. But you CAN both be stubbornly intolerant, and ascribe your differences to the "immaturity" of the other, rather than to your different needs, viewpoints, etc.

Exactly right. You have provided a fine example of that. Your post exemplifies in real time, exactly what I have discussed here. I thank you for that.

This myopic outlook of average people who believe themselves "right", and the OTHER "wrong"--indeed serves to suggest to such people that the world is absolutist. This is the reason that many very average people kill in order to mediate their beliefs , rather than utilize talk and reason...
