Ahh, so that's Jerry's plan. Minimize die size, and increase production through much larger amounts of die per wafer. AMD's "secret weapon" is to boast a lot of volumes to convince even the JIT OEMs that they can meet orders.

Of course, the flip side of the coin is that pushing more volumes on the market than it is willing to absorb could negatively affect AMD's margins, even more so than they already are.
