I'm surprised anyone noticed the difference. Presumably his essay still made too much sense, or wasn't esoteric enough...? <edit> I've just read it. It's esoteric and meaningless enough to make me glaze over... perhaps that was their main entry criterion? Anyhow if they were po-mo deconstructionists worth their salt they would have claimed that in his hoax was meaning, because of what it revealed about the author and his understanding and relationship with his own thought patterns <g>
