Question...can someone briefly explain what the 'deferred revenue' under 'Liabilities' refers to?

I can't help you there. I would think of deferred revenue as an asset, similar to accounts receivable. It must have a special meaning in the report -- can anyone decipher this for us? Thanks.

Andre,

Lexar is holding its own right now.
I mean, I think they are treading water.

I noticed on the balance sheet that cash, cash equiv's
and other investments went from around $28.7 million to
just about $15 million. I believe they have a credit facility
from which they have borrowed. I will listen to the c.c.
I am curious about the magnitude of the Viking liability.

Their inventories also went from $27.5 to $6.5 million.

Lexar C.C.

They have a new credit facility without covenants and have drawn down
$2.0 million dollars of $10.0 million dollars at an interest rate
of 12%. I think they closed out their old credit facility with Chase.
(They mentioned paying off an old loan of about $5 million.)

They expect $10.0 million in cash for Q4 if loans are accounted for.

The Q&A session indicated that Lexar feels all NAND-based flash memory cards
infringe their technology. They gave no specifics.

Sorry, LEXR comparisons are...

December 30, 2000 vs. current quarter

The data was tabulated in this way and I overlooked it.
