Gary,

Go to a message either to or from the person you want to ignore. Click on their name in the header, which links you to their profile. Near the top of their profile, you will see a link to ignore the person. Follow the prompts from there.

Kind regards,
greg

can you tell us how to invoke that feature? I too have finally tired of wasting time reading such fantasies, lies, and speculations.

Click on the person's name on the "from" line. That will take you to their profile page where you can select "ignore this person".

You've already heard how to ignore someone - the nice thing is you can select "public messages", "private messages", and even "responses to his public messages". I just did public messages, but as someone pointed out, if there is a response to such, then you still see it and are therefore reminded he exists. But you CAN ignore even those. :^)
