the American citizens will rise up, and demand that MORE than military targets be bombed....

And that would do, what, exactly? Who are you going to bomb? Where?
Don't you think if there was anything left worth bombing, it'd be hit?

Maybe kill some Afghan civilians picked at random. Would that make you feel much better? Or just perm any two, Syria, Egypt, Algeria, Libya - why stop there, Indonesia, Sudan, Lebanon... do you actually care who you kill?

Wow, I'll bet that'll stop al-Quaida - who are mainly Arabs, remember. And the ones over here sure are going to feel threatened and demotivated, and not get any support from others who've just seen their friends or relatives incinerated. And you wouldn't be letting a whole lot more people know they'd got nothing left to lose, would you?

Should really help stabilise Pakistan, too - I'm sure none of them might feel tempted to sell any nukes, they'd know the world is in safe hands once they see the voice of freedom blowing up civilians because they're Muslims.

And of course the Saudi's will feel pretty happy about
that; yeah, who needs their oil (20% of world production, 40% of world reserves and rising...)?

After all, hasn't brutal random repression worked sooo well keeping peace in Israel? And if you maybe nuke a few countries that don't like you, that'll really work for world peace, won't it. Nothing like a really good beating your kids love you, and your friends trust you...

Throwing your toys out of your pram just isn't a viable policy. No matter how nice a good tantrum may feel, all you'd be left with is a load of broken plates and damaged furniture - and the problem won't have gone away...

Now go back to channeling Falwell. It might even be an improvement.
