Yes, it is really quite simple. All the industrialized nations realize what is at stake. They know that no one can do business under a constant threat of terrorism. If the economy of the world is destroyed, life will get very difficult for 'everyone' not just those in the USA. They all understand this. That is why even Putin will give us all the support he can. On a different note, E. Charters could well be correct that we could win the battle against terrorism (at least temporarily) and still, years down the road, lose the war with Islam. I don't see a good reason that Islam will ever stop hating us, and so they could just wait patiently for the most opportune time to attack the west in the future. .
