OT Jerome,
After WW2 Jews were offered a tract of land in South America to be used as a homeland. So your idea<g> is not new. As a Jew, Israel is the promised land, the land of milk and honey and so on. 53 years after the creation of the state of Israel, one wonders what the promise God made to his chosen people really entailed and "milk and honey" perhaps only the sour taste of never ending death. And with the twisted arafat vs the unimaginative Sharon, i fear it will only get worse. US/Nato must guarantee any agreement with troops on the ground for peace ever to work there. And even that won't necessarily be enough in Israel, a country with a large arab minority within its borders. It is very sad to say but perhaps the populations have to be physically separated with one state being 100% arab and one 100% jewish. Perhaps Jordan could play a role. Remember even if arafat is legit he and the palestinian authority are completely corrupt. The only hope i hold is that i remember the palestinian kids giving flowers to israeli soldier when rabin and arafat first engineered the deal. Rabin was a giant and there are no giants left in the area that i can see. Mike
