No if. Zeevi's assassination guarantees at least an Israel Palestine war. On 911 when I saw Arafat on TV my thought was you're dead meat and so it will come to pass. With regard to the discussion about Israel not being part of the Alliance with Pakistan, SA, Egypt et al is just that old maxim of keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer. By being out of it Israel is independent to act in its own defence. They'll look after their perimeter, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt. US to look after the next ring Libya, Sudan, SA, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan etc.

This will all work well in your scenario but I think we should just give it all to Israel including the oil just as we gave it to the Arabs. I think they'll treat their customers better.

Oh come on now. The forces of Iraq have some firsts. Like they were the first to surrender to a drone aircraft. AND they lost most their troops from them choking on heal dust of their faster running troops, plus they stole all those PC monitors while leaving behind the box they sat on...so what if they were upset when they couldn't tune in I Love Lucy on them. <GGG>

If you remember, during Operation Desert Storm, the only way our soldiers could recognize the Iraq forces was from the backs of the Iraqis heads. <g>
