Yeah, he is saying that there is still inventory to work off. I was kind of surprised because last quarter I thought he was saying "a few months of inventory left". He seems to be saying the same thing now.

One of Rickey's strong points last quarter was that AMCC did not have the huge inventory out there that people like PMCS did. PMCS, incidentally, cut 24% of their staff starting today and guided down for next quarter.

On the plus side, Rickey did confirm that he bought 450,000 shares of stock at the market (not using options) and another 100,000 shares for some foundation if I remember correct. It kind of means he does not think share price is going to sink big from here. He is probably right. Unfortunately it will not go up big either.

GLW did not help. Beat the street's 3 cents with 9 cents but then gave a horrible downgrade for next quarter. That kind of hurt the optic sector.

No great news from anybody big but nobody saying they are going bankrupt either. Everybody waiting for something to make things get going. Maybe a military success will improve the consumer outlook and encourage investment.

It's a real crazy time. I don't want to sell but I don't want to buy.

What are you holding?

TA,
I fully agree with your view at AMCC as well as IMHO quite accurate observations with regard to PMCS and VTSS. AMCC is a solid long term bet, when and at what price are the questions to answer right now.
