Man, I really hope they actually test those things around the airplanes.

Would be a shame if a pilot used one, only to find that it knocked out the aircraft electrical systems.

Probably not a huge deal on a largely-mechanical commuter aircraft. Might mean death to an electronics-dependent plane like an airbus...
