Somewhat OT:
HC approved a device called a "Bio Resonator" for treatment of OA.
There are two such machines, one in Calgary and the other I believe was reported to be in Winnipeg.
Quick approval last January by HC because no drug involved and "least invasive." Apparently no side effects, ???.
Not covered by health plan, so its $400 per treatment out of the pocket. Plus airfare and accomodations to one of the two centres if you don't already reside there. Side effect is Great for tourism. Otherwise, its a car/taxi visit to the clinic.
I don't know what constitutes a treatment; 1, 2, 5, or 10 visits.
I am posting this to show competition is there, HC did approve something for OA (other than THC) and for any one who may know of a OA sufferer who cannot tolerate NSAID nor COX2 but need relief from symptoms of OA pain.

Defender of Truth: OA is a degenerative and progressively worsening disease; it doesn't reverse itself, there are no cures yet, there is differing degrees of pain and a sufferer suffers for years. OA affects more people regardless of age, ethnic origin or sex, than any other disease.
