Well, differences in opinion are what makes a market and you could be right regarding SBUX but there is no way I would pay a PE of 50 for a company that sells high priced Java to a crowd that is getting laid off in droves as we go into recession. I think teh high priced eateries are going to be the first thing to get smacked. People tend to eat out less or at least switch from 6 dollar Red Robin burgers to MCD, then they start doing without cable, start buying used cars instead of new 50K SUVs etc.

We'll have to see how the economy does but as I said, I would rather park my cash in high dividend safer stuff than high PE growth that may not grow. -gggg- BWDIK

Good Luck,

Lee
