We were specifically discussing bikinis in public, not whether fat people should go to the beach or wear bathing suits, nor whether some people have a chubby fetish. I am myself overweight, and I would not wear a speedo.

As for the ugly, there are those who are so disturbingly deformed that we do, indeed, limit their exposure in public, and seek to help them with reconstructive surgery. The ordinarily unattractive usually seek to improve their looks through cosmetics. But the main difference is between a purely optional activity, such as sunbathing in a bikini, and going about one's business as best one can. Obviously, we tend to favor those who are in the later category.......
