But it was a 15 inch monitor rather then a 17 inch. To get a 17 inch monitor and save a few bucks and get a faster processor I would go with a no name company in a heart beat. I think you have a point though that those less knowledgeable about PCs would not.

It's $838 on their website (128 meg SDRAM, 20gig 5400 RPM HD, 15" monitor, P4 1.6 - $838 after $50 instant savings rebate)

They cleared out some P4 1.4's at $699 last month, is that where are you getting $699?
