True enough about AI helping. My wife and I were discussing "Wednesday". Our daughter is discovering the same mechanism we used to remember the irregular words (I still have caught myself saying Wed-nez-day when spelling it). C'mon! Let's spell it Wendsday and get it over with!

She is doing ANNS-swer to remember "answer". I used that when I was a kid, too. Had a hell of a time with "during". Why isn't that DOO-ring? I wanted to spell it "durring."

I also say to myself "Feb-brew-ary" to spell that. Why we don't just change the words to match the pronunciation is beyond me. Like who says PREE-scription? Everyone I knows says PER-scription. Don't spell it that way, though! DOH!

Did you know that Roget's is online now? I've got it bookmarked and use it frequently.

I find all sorts of interesting stuff by keying a word or phrase along with "origin" into a search engine.

I did not know about this! I'm doing it. Now.
