but it is not very likely it will be wholly superceded You don't know that. If civilization lasts another thousand years, they could come up with something beyond our imagination. It seems a bit pompous and more than a bit absolutist to declare liberal democracy the be all and end all. that I am not exactly talking about the optimum I was trying to get away from the notion of right and wrong and into the mindset of effective or successful. and I am not sure why I cannot say "inculcated". I have trouble with inculcated and democracy in the same sentence. Don't you?
