The expenditures of office workers would decrease in government less costs equal less taxes needed.

I understand that, that's why I said "all other things being equal". There would also be a considerable decline in some areas of sales tax revenue. Professional used automobile sales would face a steep decline, as private sales attract no sales tax.

Do you think a large sales tax is a disincentive to spend?
