Jim, LOL. I always remember, even as a kid, asking my Dad how he could walk through the snow when he grew up in California's San Joaquin Valley. The only snow they have there is snow cones.

However, he really did have to walk home about 8 miles every day after football practice. Offseason he could ride the school bus. He sometimes hitchhiked, which my grandfather told me. Dad never mentioned that. Hitching was a safe activity when he was young. But not when I was the same age. And now it is death on a stick.
