Ian, OT >>if we could only get rid of the nonstop coverage by the media<<

Amen! Even Tom Brokaw said in an interview the topic had been over-covered. I won't even type the A word any more.

<....diverted terrorists from more serious bioterrorism>

I was thinking about that a little. I think the best deterence would be a policy of "if you unleash it, we will identify and contain it, culture it in a lab a 10000000 times over, and return it ALL to your country." And don't bother to come asking for our help for the antibiotic or treatment.

Use those hi-tech remote control unmanned spy planes, load them up, and drill it right into various strategic areas surrounding the perpetrators.

If the US barely has the medical systems to deal with such a tragedy, then think what would happen in oh say Iraq as they tried to control it with very limited resources?

" Now if we could only get rid of the nonstop coverage by the media. The terrorists must be laughing their asses off."

Ian,
Not for long. We will crush them over there shortly and locate and arrest the letter sender here in the US. A shot in the arm for morale is on the way. By the way we were forced to exit the 4&5 subway today for a police emergency. Another scary experience. As I was getting ready to go into my panic attack mode and reach for the xanax, i instead thought of Lisa Beamer. The fear passed. I walked to another line and got back on the train. NO FEAR! mike
