Neil, The airlibes all over the world have been killed by excess union greed, IMO. They are a stationary target, easy for strikes to immobilize and so their wages are stratospheric. the auto industry is the same, all bad jobs that need no smarts, but highly paid. The unions have cost their members 75% of their jobs due to excess automation driven by high wage costs. Unions hate low wage countries and free trade. They want the mexicans paid the same as our workers...at which point the mexican auto indyusr=try would collapse. The fercnh are on a suicidal path with their induustry. I do not know what sustains the French these days. No-one in their right mind would locate a factory there. Bill

OT the Americans' idea of "open skies" is somewhat one-sided). How would you implement an open skies agreement. I think that it would be good if the EU and the US just allowed each other's carries full access. We hardly help our farmers either The British budget might have little in the way of support for farmers, but doesn't the EU budget provide support and EU regulations provide barriers. These things (and the US equivalents) really should go away. It would do the world a lot of good if all these regulations and subsides where eliminated. Tim Edit - Sorry about the off topic. I was reading and posting on two different threads and I forgot what thread I was on. I'll add OT to the top of this post.
