Doesn't surprise me a bit. 60 days of antibiotics, particularly one this strong, is rough on the system. I wonder if there is a medical person on the thread? Seems to me that on the one hand the agencies are downplaying the risk, on the other hand they are handing out the Cipro pretty fast.

If you check the PDR, you will find Ciprofloxacin to be a rather nasty drug. Contraindicated for pregnant or nursing mothers, children, anyone with a compromised circulatory system, anyone taking heavy duty asthma meds, can cause serious GI problems. Probably more, but I haven't fully checked.
