a person could live out
there for 50 years and never know you existed.

Sounds like my kind of place. -g
I could use a get away like that... I guess that is what I use the Adirondacks for. Only problem is that more and more people are discovering them.
Hopefully the terrorists won't... I don't think they care much about trees and wilderness anyway...

Sorry for getting political around here.
It's one of my own rules that I broke.
It just seemed that all the cuts in defense must have been the reason why the CIA didn't have as much money to play with to keep tabs on Sadam, Bin Laden, and all the others.
The shoring up of the FBI probably helped some but I can't imagine it replaced the pool of funds that the CIA could draw from.
Even then, I shouldn't put the blame on a president.
The blame should be on the end of the Cold War.
...and how can anyone be angry that the Cold War had ended...
So pardon my jackass tendencies. -ng

I'll get back up on my fence here and stop the political BS.
I sort of saw myself turning into my political-ranting-father-in-law for a minute there.
...and that is not a picture of how I want to be.

Placing blame on this right now, does not seem to be making me feel any better.
