What a wonderful post! You have summed it up in a nutshell!
My blood boils at all this sanctimonious display, but remain clam and beat them at their own game.

So many (short-sighted? ignorant? dumb?) people cannot see the forest for the trees. They take one little incident and deal with that incident in their usual fashion, completely missing what is lurking just over the horizon.

Thank God Bush won.
